The church had a problem with limited parking. Tree Fella was approached to put forward a proposal to the council to allow a non-invasive roadway to be constructed over the root systems of a number of trees protected by a tree preservation order (T.P.O.).

The solution was devised by our arborists and it was decided that a high-grade plastic honeycomb configuration would be laid and in-filled with a porous material, allowing both air and water to penetrate the surface and reach the trees’ root zone. The soil was blown out of the area where the roadway was being laid using an Air Spade in order to avoid root damage. This technique, in conjunction with out root enhancement programme has been very successful.
