TreeFella’s arborists were approached to produce an assessment method statement for the removal of the existing cobbles on Timber’s Hill as these posed a health and safety issue on the slope where the three trees are situated.

After exploratory works were carried out it was discovered that the trees’ root systems were about 450 mm below the existing surface.

TreeFella used an ‘Air Spade’ to remove the aggregate from between the roots. The combined application of the Air Spade and the specially adapted excavating machinery made for a swift, efficient and safe operation.
